Jordan Pugh is an NFL veteran whose #1 passion in life is football. He was signed by the New Orleans Saints in 2014 prior to the club's NFC Divisional Playoff game to strengthen the secondary and special teams units. Before joining the Saints, Pugh played as safety for the Washington Redskins in 2013 and 2012. He was originally drafted in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers, where he played for two years. Admired by fans and teammates alike, Pugh has caught the attention of the sports media community, writers and broadcasters, who comment on his trusted speed and tackling ability.
Prior to joining the NFL, Jordan achieved college football success at Texas A&M University where he played cornerback (freshman and junior years) and safety (sophomore and senior years). He was a three-year starter at Texas A&M and played in 50 games with 37 starts. He also posted 212 tackles and grabbed 4 interceptions, contributing to an All–Big 12 honorable mention during his senior year.
Jordan received a BS degree in university studies, which includes a business major and double minor in communication and sport management. He is the son of Marshall and Jo Ann Pugh and brother of Dominique, his younger sister.
